This reduced deflection is achieved by a more consistent cutting force across the entire width of the cutter, resulting in fewer cutting imperfections. Anyway, who wants to waste expensive rolls of film, right?
A reliably constructed, rigid frame allows the top lid to pivot upwards, giving you more freedom and flexibility as you cut accurate patterns. This is a massive upgrade compared to the original Workhorse, which does not have the same type of rigid frame with a pivotable top lid.
